IT'S MY LIFE
oh, when you turn to me: i'm in the quicksand
( it's now or never )
NAME: Elena
AGE: twenty
GAME: FFVII
WEAPONS:
- GUNS;; as a member of the turks, elena has been trained in combat with most types of guns. from handguns to magnums, shotguns to rocket launchers, elena is able to wield all of them effectively. she is best skilled with the regular handgun, the standard for the turks, but is able to use whatever is most necessary for the mission ahead. at current, a pistol is all she has on her person.
- GRENADES;; elena is one of the more skilled members of the turks when it comes to this weapon. with good depth perception and a better throwing arm, elena is very good at hitting her mark or getting close enough that it doesn't matter. she is often the one tasked with tossing in grenades when situations get sticky as she's very skilled at clearing out dangerous targets with them.
- HAIR DRYER;; srs bsn. elena might be able to get up at the sound of her alarm clock, but it doesn't mean she's pleasant. her fellow turks have -- for the most part -- learned not to tease her too early in the morning, especially not when she's still getting ready.
ABILITIES:
- MARTIAL ARTS;; having one the five elite emblems, elena is very skill in martial arts. if the situation calls for it, elena can fight without weapons. being the youngest turk and, stereotypes aside, a slim girl, she is often at a disadvantage against larger and tougher body types. that does not, however, pose much of a problem for her. she has a pretty good knowledge of weak points on the human body, and is skilled enough to be able to at least get away if she can't win.
- SPEED;; elena's slim figure does come in handy when it comes to running. in sticky situations, elena can book it out of there and find either better cover or a new approach to the situation. she is one of the fastest on the team.
- VEHICLES;;like her combat training, elena can handle a good selection of vehicles, from helicopters to motorcycles. she's skilled at driving all of them, not without her fair share of close encounters.
( i ain't gonna live forever )
PERSONALITY:
- Elena is a very strong young woman. Her job as a Turk as shaped her both physically and mentally, making her able in both fronts. When it comes to her job, Elena is usually quite serious. She idolizes her coworkers and even her boss in their ability to keep their cool. Elena does her best to follow in the footsteps of Tseng and it was in trying to impress him that she has fallen into good work habits. She is often scolding Reno for his outward lazyiness and sometimes even goes as far as to do the same to Rude for not keeping better tabs on them.
- Despite her efforts, Elena is still just the baby of the group. She tries her best but as the youngest and the only female, she is often treated like someone that needs protecting. Aware of this, Elena strives above all else to prove to them that she can protect them too. She works very hard and her self-determination often rewards her. Responsible, effective, and willing, Elena has gone far since her first sloppy introduction into the Turks.
- But that's not to say Elena is the perfect Turk. On the contrary, she is often too quick to speak and sometimes goes as far as to give out information to people that shouldn't know. Her mouth gets her into a lot of trouble, from back talking to saying exactly whats on her mind. Obviously, stealth comes a bit difficult to the youngest Turk and she is often not given them out of the expectation that she will fail.
- Her job aside, Elena is a very normal woman. Dragged into a hard lifestyle at too young of an age, she has turned out very well. She is energetic, with an infectious smile when she lets herself. Elena enjoys relaxation and having friends. Going out with people and laughing and talking. She loves gossip and new clothes. Elena is a typical young woman with a strong conviction and a good heart.
HISTORY: Elena was born the second of two daughters. Their father a teacher at the ShinRa Military Academy, it was no surprise that both girls ended up working for ShinRa. Her sister was a member of the Turks, and highly qualified, making Elena, who had a constant sibling rivalry with her, refuse to join them as well. While her elder sister excelled in marksmanship, Elena took to martial arts, earning the five Elite Emblems. It was during the war against AVALANCHE, lead by the crazed Fuhito, that Elena's distaste for the Turks -- only due to her sister being apart of them -- changed. Instead, she vowed that she would overcome her sister's shadow and be a better Turk than her.
She received her chance during the next outburst of rebellion against ShinRa. AVALANCHE rose again and during the fights, Reno was injured. With him out of commission, Elena was promoted to a Turk to fill their lacking numbers. She became the youngest Turk on the squad and perhaps the youngest on record, as well as the only current female. She learned quickly that there were things her training had not prepared her for, like her quick tongue. During this time, Elena confronted Cloud and company as enemies, but was saved by them after being kidnapped along with Yuffie by Don Corneo.
After ShinRa was destroyed, Elena, like her fellow turks, were the only to still stand at Rufus ShinRa's side. Elena, horrified by their boss catching the stigma, did her best to ease his pain and continue to carry out his orders. However, on a mission at Northern Crator, she and Tseng were confronted by the manifestations of Sephiroth's will, Yazoo, Loz, and Kadaj. While Reno and Rude, above in the helicopter, were able to get away, Elena and Tseng were not. They were captured by the three remnants and merciless tortured for information on the whereabouts of their mother. Refusing to cooperate, they were subjugated over and over to pain, Elena holding on to her silence for Tseng's sake and her fellow Turks as well as their sick boss.
It was due to Vincent Valentine that they were able to escape and with the help of white magic materia, they arrived on top to save Rufus and help Reno and Rude. After Cloud defeated the looming threat of Sephiroth, and the remnants were disposed, Elena witnessed Rufus's Geostigma cured. She and the other Turks returned to a more comfortable system of orders and mission, eased by the fact that Rufus was back to good health.
Unfortunately, the comfort didn't last long. Without warning, Elena found herself in a world she had no knowledge of. Separated from familiarity, her boss and her coworkers, Elena struggles to find out where she is and find her lost home.
LIKES: Tseng, the turks, Rufus ShinRa, praise, being recognized, fancy dinners, payday, days off, reading, sleeping in
DISLIKES: failure, screwing up, mornings, scoldings, being talked down to, being treated like the youngest, getting left behind, being alone, solo missions, being ignored
( this ain't a song for the brokenhearted )

RP SAMPLE:
If there was any Turk that would be easy to find, it would be Reno. And if there was any place to look for Reno, it was a bar.
Elena didn't like to waste time. Even disorientated and, to be perfectly honest, a bit scared, she was going to stand around sightseeing. She didn't need to inspect the town to know she didn't know it. The accent and the strange, well, everything were proof enough of that. And Elena, standing alone and feeling very small in her Turk suit and tie, decided she didn't want to stay around and wait for this place to tell her if she was in danger or not.
She was in a state of shock (but none of this could be real). The blonde hadn't completely accepted that she wasn't on the same earth she'd been stepping on before (because that's not at all possible). She clung to the hope that this was all a big joke (it's not funny, Reno) and the hope that finding Reno (and kicking his ass) would make him give her the answers she needed (and wanted to hear).
'Bar open' was, for once, a grateful sight, and Elena -- not without biting back uncertainty -- followed the directions of a young woman who pointed her in the right direction. But for all her efforts, it took only one disheartening glance around the room to know that Reno was not there. That shock of red hair was not easily missed and no one here had locks as vibrant or crimson as his. She found herself glad to be in a bar now, for the urge to have something to drink became overpower. "This can't be happening," she mumbled weakly as she ambled to the bar. She gave one last pitiful look to her left then to her -- Hey.
The Turk blinked, staring outright at the woman sitting not far from her. Nearing desperation, she moved toward the brunette, cocking her head. "Do I. Know you?" Her eyes narrowed in an attempt to recall the face and coming up short. But what did it matter, honestly. She knew this face and that meant, maybe, they could tell her what the hell was going on.
