Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world x x She took the midnight train goin' anywhere ---------------------------------------
Here she stood at the top of this high mountain, or something. Getting off a gondola and arriving at what looks like a park, at least from what she could see on her small ride up to the top. Now she stood in front on many portals, unsure of what to do next. This was nothing like the festival held back home, with all the fireworks and dazzling shows. As she was about to head down one of the holes, the guy that greeted her when she got off the gondola called out to her. "Hey you can't just slide down the hole you want, you gotta pay for a pass". Walking over to the guy, she sighed. When she had just suddenly appeared here, Serah was so worried about where Snow was and also her sister. Where she woke up was like a barren wasteland, and then she had spotted this place so she decided to check it out. Maybe she would find Lightning or Snow here, it was worth a try. Paying the gil for the pass, just the one day pass she went back over to the portals. Walking back and forth she looked at each hole, and read the writing of where each portal led to. Finding one that said Chocobo Races, Serah decided to try that one. Sitting down she pushed herself foreward and slid down the hole, coming out at the bottom. Standing up she brushed herself off, and heard a announcement about a race starting up. She had to move abit since there was alot of people here, no doubt to see the race. Serah managed to make it to the front near the race track, then the lights went to green as the chocobos took off around the track. She had to cover her ears from all the cheering the that was going on, these people were certainly loud for such a race like this. But guess she couldn't blame them, sighing lightly she tryed to look for any sign of her sister or Snow but so far no luck. Hopefully they were alright, and that sooner or later she could meet up with them. Rubbing her arm lightly where her brand was nothing but a scar, she just watched the chocobos run to the finish line. So many different colors passed her in a blur but she smiled making out the birds as they passed by. Although she didn't place any bet's on the birds she cheered them on and smiled seeing them make the trek around the track, wondering who was going to win in the end. When the race ended and the blue chocobo crossed the finish line, Serah could hear a few disgruntled words from some people who didn't win. Checking how much gil she had a thought struck her, hearing an announcement over a PA she could hear a woman speaking the time of the next race. What if she placed a bet, though she was not the gambling type of girl. She could earn alot of gil if she guessed the right chocobo right and besides no one seemed to care if she stuck out like a sore thumb here. Going to the betting booth she put some gil down on the blue chocobo and then more on the white one she had seen go around the track. Getting the tickets she smiled and went to take a seat, feeling good luck running through her. After this she would go and find Snow and Light, appearing without question in a new world was frightning to say the least. While waiting for the next race to start, Serah decided to walk around and found the area where they take care of the chocobo's. A young trainer spotting her asked her nicely if she wanted to feed the big birds, giving her the treat they like the most. "Go on, they don't bite". The trainer said, as she smiled with excitement and went over to the big fluffy white bird. This had been one of the one's she betted on, the chocobo took the greens gently as Serah petted it. TAG: Yuj WORDS: 688 LYRICS: Don't Stop Beliving -- Journey[/blockquote]

“Ow...” mumbled the blue-haired teen as he rubbed the small of his back with his left hand. It still hurt a little from when he had landed in the strange place. He’d been wandering around here for a while now, not knowing where the hell he was. It was certainly not Pulse, and nothing like anywhere in Cocoon. This place was.... He didn’t know how to describe it, except with the word different, which was rather generic and didn’t offer much of an insight. He wasn’t sure what to make of everything that was going on around him, as he wandered through the crowd at the chocobo races, getting strange looks because of his hair and attire. There was not a single face or figure in sight that he recognised, after having been looking ever since he got here. He didn’t want to be stuck somewhere, on a strange world, by himself. He’d only found himself here for just over an hour, and already he was missing the rest of NORA. Would they have seen him vanish? Would they come looking for him?
Yuj frowned to himself. They better... At first, when he had asked someone where he was, he had just gotten a look akin to ‘are you crazy?’, or perhaps it was more like ‘are you drunk?’. Both worked. It made Yuj start to wonder if there was something wrong with him. People didn’t just mysteriously teleport from one world to another...right? Biting his lip, he barely registered the fact that the current race was now over. Panic had suddenly started to come over him as he realised just how big of a mess this really was. What if he couldn’t get back? What if he was stuck here? His lips twitched. “I’m being ridiculous...” he scolded himself, pushing the panic down and out of his mind as best he could.
He continued to wander around in the mean time, with some small amount of hope left that he would spot someone he knew. Although, that was becoming somewhat wishful thinking pretty quickly. He doubted that someone else he knew would have been transported here too – the chances were incredibly slim. Even still, he found his dark hazel eyes scanning his surroundings and looking at as many people as he could. Yuj sighed to himself, resisting the urge to drag his feet, and ended up in the chocobo stables. The big, bright, colourful birds warked and shifted in their stalls and they made Yuj slightly uneasy. However, a blue one caught his attention, just to the left of where he was standing, its feathers the same shade of blue as his own hair. The large bird warked and reached his head out towards him. Almost hesitanty, Yuj reached out his hand to pet the bird on the head, before shifting a bit closer when it did nothing. Well, nothing until it moved its head away from his hand and took a hold of his hair.
“Ow, hey, let go!” he yelped, as the blue chocobo yanked at his hair, even shaking its head a little. This was probably one of the very few times Yuj cursed the fact that his hair was long. It made it so much easier for it to go in things or to get caught on something, or to get pulled by a chocobo, apparently. He had one hand automatically up and holding on to near the roots of the clump of hair the chocobo was pulling to make sure it didn’t pull his hair out. That would be all he needed... To be stuck in a strange world, and having no clue how he got there in the first place, and to top it all off, a chocobo pulling out a clump of his hair. No, he didn’t need that last part to happen, so he kept a hold of his hair to make sure that it didn’t.
By this point, Yuj was getting embarrassed. At first he had just been shocked and annoyed, and his first reaction was to care about his hair being pulled out or not, but now he was beginning to notice that he was being looked at - no, stared at – by other people that went by. His cheeks flushed slightly, the colour contrasting with his hair, and tried his best to ignore the people’s stares that he could practically feel boring into him. He reached his other hand up to try and push the chocobo back or fend it off somehow. After a few unsuccessful attempts, and some assistance from the trainer, Yuj finally got himself free from the large bird’s grip, with his hair still intact. Stumbling backwards a bit, a small pout appeared on his lips as he rubbed his head. “Damn bird...” he muttered, and the blue chocobo warked at him, as though it had understood what he said. Right then, out of the corner of his eye, he could have sworn he caught sight of a flash of light pink hair.
He blinked and lowered his hand from his head, turning his gaze to where he had thought the sight came from. I’m not seeing things, right? At this rate, Yuj wouldn’t have put it past himself to have gone completely batshit crazy. Maybe all of this was a hallucination? It could be, for all he knew. Turning his head properly whilst attempting to pet the chocobo to keep it away from his hair, he realised that he wasn’t seeing things at all. Or at least, he hoped not. “Serah!” he called out, a wide grin spreading across his face. Finally! Someone he knew! Taking a step back from the blue chocobo, ducking as it made to grab his hair again, he turned and had to resist running that short distance over to Serah. Instead, he walked quickly over and practically pulled her into a hug, he was so relieved to see someone.
“You have no idea how glad I am to see someone I know!” he exclaimed, pulling back from her. Thinking for a second, he realised that Serah was also stuck here on her own too... “Or...maybe you do.” He added, rubbing the back of his neck a little awkwardly as he sent her a sheepish smile. Moving his hand to the top of his head and absently rubbing the spot where the blue chocobo had been pulling his hair, Yuj gave Serah a proper smile. “It’s been...how long since we’ve seen each other?” A long time by NORA’s standards anyway, since the whole gang used to see Serah quite a lot, and normally with Snow never far away. He was happy to see that she was alright after everything that had happened, and was even happier to see her now. “Oh! Have you seen Snow since everything finished? Is he alright?” The questions spilled from Yuj’s mouth, running together slightly in his rush to get them out after having just remembered them.

Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world x x She took the midnight train goin' anywhere ---------------------------------------
Now at first when she came here all she did was panic, how does one travel between one world and another without even realizing it. It just didn't make sense, and when she had woken up what greeted her wasn't the enviroment of Pulse. It had been a barren wasteland with nothing for miles around, except the strange structure she was now in. The big main question on her mind which was playing over and over like a broken record was how she got here, why was she here and how the heck she even arrived. Was it time travel or a rift. All that on her mind while she was in panic mode, Serah had even asked people in this odd place where she was and what world she was in. One guy had told her this was the Gold Saucer, but when she asked the world everyone just gave her odd looks. And that was pretty much the up to date on the situation right now, and the matter where she had to fork out that gil just for pass to get into this odd place. But hey it reminded her of an amusement park. Except there were no rides, just different holes that led to different areas. And on her first pick she had landed with a roll at the bottom in the area of the chocobo races. Hoping no one saw if her skirt went up, she pulled it down and stood up brushing herself off. After that she had went to watch the chocobo race, managing to push her way through the crowd to get a good look up front. They were the same kind of big and fluffy birds like back home, except they were different colors. Serah noticed a black one, a white one, a blue one and even a green one. How strange. All they had back home were the yellow ones, maybe here chocobo breeds mixed or the birds were fed other kinds of green to make them those colors. As the bird in the lead crossed the finished line there were some cheers and also groans and shouts of anger that some of the people didn't win. Staying where she was so she wouldn't be pushed and shoved, Serah waited for the area to be somewhat clear as the people left and she could finally move. Hearing the announcement for the next race she tapped a finger on her chin. Now usually she wasn't the betting type, but what if she could win some serious gil here. It would help her in the long run. Going over to the betting area she placed a bet on the white chocobo and a blue one which had recently won, man did she stick out like a sore thumb with her outfit. With tickets in hand she left to go wander around, unaware someone else familiar was lurking about in the crowd. Serah only hoped she could find someway to get in touch with Snow or Light, to let them know she was safe and sound. Even though she was in some strange new land. Her walking around led her right to the chocobo stables where they were getting the birds ready for the next race, not only did the birds run around the track but they had their jockey's who rode on their backs. Each person was busy rushing about doing different things, such as washing down the chocobo's legs or brushing their feathers making them shine like new. Feeling someone take hold of her hand gently she glanced over to see a young trainer, who asked if she wanted to feed their chocobo. Of course she agreed and was led to a big white chocobo and handed some greens, the bird gave a 'KWEH' and took the greens from her gently eating them. She suddenly turned hearing her name being called, and noticed a blue haired person walking quickly towards her. Serah had no time to react as the person pulled her into a hug, then pulled back. "Yuj!....tell me this is not a dream, because I don't want to wake up". Okay so it wasn't Snow but hey it was someone familiar, she hugged him back and smiled. Yuj was apart of NORA the group Snow had put together, it really was great to see a familiar face here. Pulling back the pink haired girl looked Yuj up and down, pinching herself then him lightly to make sure this was no dream. When he asked how long it had been since they seen eachother, she began to think. "It's been quite awhile, hasn't it". Too long perhaps, besides Snow always use to bring his friends to see her. Not wanting to scare the chocobo's or irritate the trainers she took his hand and led him out of the stables near where the track was, it was better to talk out in the open then having chocobos kweh in your ear. Hearing his next question about Snow, she gently let her gaze shift to the ground and shook her head. "The last time I saw Snow was when I had awakened from that crystal, and was reunited with him for a little while. He was alright when I saw him, except now I don't know where he or sis are". Bringing her eyes back up to meet those of Yuj she gave a small sigh, she really hoped they were both alright along with everyone else. In the small time she was reunited with her sister and Snow they had told her everything that had happened, what she had missed. "And what about you, are you okay and what about the rest of the group?" They had to be alright didn't they, or at least she hoped his answer would be a good one. Should she also mention to Yuj that Light had finally somewhat accepted her and Snow's engagment, or should she let Snow tell his friend. They already knew Snow and her were engaged, but did they know that Light was angry about it before. Hearing the announcement again that the next race was getting ready to start, she glanced down to the tickets in her hand. "I bet on two chocobo's, want to help me cheer them on?"TAG: Yuj WORDS: 1024 LYRICS: Don't Stop Beliving -- Journey[/blockquote]
