How did this boy not realize that, he let the attack hit? Vanitas saw the moves coming with ease. Layles swordsmanship was decent, but it was not enough to be even confident in. Soon the next attack was inches away from his chest, so he let the attack hit him again. This time the attack made a tear in his armor of darkness, and a little blood was spilled.
Quickly, his armor regenerated the tear in itself and began to slowly heal the wound. As his opponent jumped over him, Vanitas spun around and brought his blade upwards to counter his foes. Wasting no time, Vanitas created a black firaga and moved his hand towards his opponents' abdomens. This would be a little harder for his opponent to block, seeing how close they were to each other.
After his counter was over Vanitas took a slight hop back and took a good look at his opponent. "You need more training." While standing where he was, Vanitas started to charge a thunder attack. Once fully charged the attack moved at a fast pace towards Layle. This was the masked boys Dark Thundaga shot. It's a move that the three Chasers could have learned themselves.

Layle's strike was blocked and a black version of what looked to be Firaga started to form from his opponents hand. Layle was still trying to land, so there was no way he could have moved out of the way. Plus, the distant between the two was too close for him to reposition the sword to block it with the blade.
Instead, Layle opened the hand of the sword, letting it fall toward the ground. With his hand now free and already in front of his body, Layle used his ability to create a small force field. This easily blocked the firaga. He landed on his feet and canceled the field.
"You need more training." The shadow boy stated. Layle smirked. "Do I now?" He cocked his head to one side. It wasn't long till another magic attack made its way toward the hero.
He moved to the right and snatched up the sword with his ability. Blue eyes darted around, looking for something to use. This guy was good. He needed to stop playing.
___________________________________________ Notes: The first "strike" was a fake actually to hide the real one, the jump.
