Layle sat on a bench. He was waiting for news from Keiss. As usual he had gotten to the meeting spot first. The young kid was looking at the sky with his hands on the back of his head. Simply, he was bored and when he's bored, he usually gets in trouble.
Layle sighed. How long was Keiss going to keep him waiting? His arms fell to rest on his knees. Blue eyes looked around. There wasn't anything he could see to do in the area. He groaned while scratching the crystal part of his right cheek with his right hand. This was something he did often.
A group of kids playing catch caught his eye. They were laughing and running around. But the ball ended up flying into a nearby tree. The kids ran to try and get it but it was too high for them. "Way to go. You lost the ball." One boy said. "No, you lost it." Another countered. Soon all the kids were arguing among themselves.
Layle shook his head. "How is that gonna solve anything?" He asked himself as he got up on his feet and made his way to the group. "Leave it to me." He told the group. His right hand came up in front of him with a blue aura surrounding it. The same aura surround the ball. Layle pulled his hand back, the ball flew out of the tree and toward him. His left hand came up to catch it. The kids cheered in amazement. He gave the ball to one of them. They thanked him and ran off to continue their game. Layle smiled.

A blackened portal opened up in the distance, and a teenager wearing a mask walked out. His general attire was rather unique. Vanitas noticed that some guy was helping little kids get their ball back. People like that are just disgusting, and are a waste of space.
The only way to live is by destroying and killing everything. By the time the kids were about to run off and continue their game, Vanitas was close enough to grab one of them by their neck. By doing this he completely stopped the little kid. This was showing how random, this dark being could be to other people.
“What a waste.” Vanitas said with some hatred. Soon the amount of pressure he was putting on the boys neck, made him scream aloud. With knowing this, Vanitas tossed the boy high into the air. “I guess, that I have to do everything.” He said softly.
The other dark warriors were doing nothing, but being lazy. Eventually, he is going to make all of the worlds corrupt and deadly. The unversed are slowly going to re-appear in every world. Nothing at all will stop Vanitas from causing his destructive rampage.

Layle started to head back to his meeting point. What was taking Keiss so long? He took three steps before a scream sounded behind him. The blonde swirled around. There was a shadowy looking man holding one of the boys by the throat. The others were off to the side too afraid to help their friend. Layle's face changed to one of anger. How could he do that to a child?
Before he could move, the man threw the boy in the air. He screamed as he started to fall back down. Layle took off in a sprint to get closer. He held his right hand out as a blue aura started to form around it. The aura formed around the boy. When Layle got close enough to where he could actually hold the weight of the boy, he skid to a stop. The boy stopped in mid-air a few feet from the ground. The Crystal Bearer pulled his hand back making the child fly to him. He released his gravity hold and caught the boy in his arms.
Layle set him down before turning his attention to the man. "What the hell is wrong with you?" He shouted. He was normally a calm individual, but threatening the life of a child was something he was not going to stand for.

Vanitas let out a soft laugh as the man before him began to show his anger. This was perfect in the masked boys mind. With all of these emotions rolling on high, the unversed were now only growing stronger at a faster rate. “You can’t tell?” Vanitas asked softly.
The masked boy was surprised that his enemy could not tell that, he was one of the darkness. So telling him, what the hell really means nothing. “Release that anger. Attack me with all you got.” Vanitas said a little louder than before. There was no reason to bring out the X-blade just yet. So in his left hand the Void Gear Keyblade appeared in his hand. Slowly, the teen of darkness took a few steps closer to his opponent.
Was he going to attack or what? “Do you need some more motivation?” In a second, Vanitas sent a blackened Firaga at one of the kids. This was no ordinary black magic. The masked boys firaga was even more powerful and full of overwhelming hatred. That single attack could make a person so horrified a chill could just crawl down his or her back.

The strange man just laughed at his statement. Layle wasn't sure who this guy was or why he was attacking children. “You can't tell?" He asked. Layle gave a confused look. What did this man want? He was sure he hadn't seen this guy before. Granted he got into trouble a lot, but he hadn't done anything to this stranger before. "Release that anger. Attack me with all you got.” The shadow boy provoked.
A strange key shaped blade appeared in his hand. How did he do that? Layle stood still. He wasn't the fighting type. He didn't even have a weapon really. The masked man made another provoking comment. "Do you need some more motivation?” He shot a black ball at another child. Layle did the first thing that came to mind. He thrust a hand out to the child as the blue aura surrounded it again. The aura went around the boy, there was a look of fear on his face. Layle pulled hard. The kid was at the edge of his range. He couldn't lift him but he could attempt to pull him just out of the way.
The clavat was angry. This man had tried to hurt two children now. What was his problem? To get Layle mad? What had he done to make this masked stranger want to fight him? Layle dropped to a defensive stance. He really didn't want to fight, nor did he have anything to fight with, all he had was his gravity manipulation. Sure that was enough to deal with some, but this man seemed like a harder fight. Would he be able to hold his own? What if the kids continued to be a target? Blue aura covered both hands, ready to use his abilities.

Vanitas continued to watch as the hero continued to try and stop his attacks. Unfortunately, he realized he had chosen the wrong opponent after all. This crystal bearer as absolutely no kind of weapon. Well at least he could let his powered up unversed have a little fun. Slowly, he lowered his left hand so his keyblade was pointing towards the ground.
With his free hand, Vanitas snapped his fingers and three unversed appeared in front of the masked boy. One Archraven, Scrapper, and a Flood had appeared. Hopefully the hero would be able to amuse him to some extent. In only a few moments, all three unversed charged in.
The Flood mimicked the ability of a shadow heartless by going into the ground. While, the scraper charged in on its own two feet. Finally, the archraven charged in from the sky. Vanitas was highly interested to see what his opponent could do with out any kind of weapon.

The next move confused Layle more. The boy pointed his key-like blade to the ground and made three black monsters appear. One went into the ground, another came toward him, and the third flew in from the air. They had each level of height taken care of.
"Get out of here!" He ordered the children. He didn't need them to get in the way. It would be more work for the blonde to watch out for them. Layle looked around, searching for anything he could use. The bench he was on looked like a nice weapon. He quickly moved close enough for him to lift it with his ability. "Try this." He taunted throwing the bench toward the shadow trio. If Keiss was here he could have borrowed his weapons. What was taking him so long? _____________________________________________ Notes: I don't mind. I bounce around on my lengths.

Vanitas watched as the crystal bearer threw a bench towards the three Unversed he had sent in. The large chair just managed to knock back the Flood and the Scrapper. However, the Archraven swooped in and tried to make a downwards spinning attack on Layle. “I thought all heroes had real weapons.” He said in a disappointed tone. Vanitas wanted to fight this guy fairly, which he did in most of his fights.
However, the best he could do was send in the unversed to fight. Oh well it’s not like it matters much to the masked boy anyways. Within a blink of an eye the Flood and the Scrapper got back onto their feet and tried to charge in once more. Vanitas knew everything about his Unversed. The Flood could only take three more hits and the Scrapper had seven more.
Thanks to all of these emotions it was only making the Unversed stronger. That’s why, he gets annoyed by the heartless. They are such inferior beings that can get in his way. Maybe he should just kill this hero? So far the crystal bearer was showing absolutely no use, besides for his stranger power. That’s when Vanitas got an idea. If he lets this boy live, he could be useful in the future. Then and there his mind was set, he was only going to ‘play’ with the boy a little longer.

The bench hit two out of three targets. Though the two that were hit just seemed to have slowed down. Damn this was gonna be harder than he thought. The bird-like creature made a down spiral attack. Layle couldn't move out of the way fast enough. The monster hit his shoulder, tearing the fabric of his jacket and digging into his shoulder. Lucky for him his shoulders had chain-mail stitched on them, so the cut wasn't has bad as it could have been.
Layle attempted to grab the shadow bird with his gravity ability and fling him away. His shoulder was starting to bleed. The creature had given him a good cut. His free hand pulled a metal bar to him. Layle managed to break it free from the bench. It wasn't going to be as effective as a blade but it could still hurt if swung hard enough.

After the Archraven was flung away from the heroes attack, Vanitas called off the Unversed. “I suppose I’ll let you live.” He said with no emotion. In a flash of darkness his keyblade vanished just like that. The masked boy was quite unimpressed by the boy, besides the odd power he has. A power like that could be very helpful to him in the future.
How everything was going to work out was far over his head. “The only way you’ll grow stronger is by opening your heart to the darkness.”I The light may have its moments where it shows its amazing power. However, the darkness gives you everlasting power when you need it. Vanitas knows this very well, because he is pure darkness.
He will always be the strongest user of the darkness thanks to that fact. Nothing was going to stop him on his long journey to rule the worlds. With Master Xehanort gone, nothing was going to control him at all. Though, the masked boy had to admit his former master was rather useful while he was around. Thanks to his master, he was able to obtain the X-blade in its purest form. Though, Vanitas must get it back to his original glory.

“I suppose I’ll let you live.” The shadow boy stated. The attack of the shadow creatures stopped. Layle stood out of his fighting stance. His face confused. "You tried so hard to get me pissed off to fight you and now you're just gonna run away?" He complained. A finger scratched at the crystal part of his right cheek. "How lame is that." Even though Layle didn't go searching for fights he still saw them as a means of fun.
"What did you do this time, Layle?" Shouted a familiar voice behind him. Blue eyes turned around. There was a guy his age with long red hair coming up behind him. "About time you showed up, Keiss. What took you so long? And I didn't do anything this time." Layle defended himself. Sure usually when he got into trouble it was his fault, but this time he had only stopped this strange guy from hurting a group of kids.
Unless. What if the shadow-ish stranger had used the kids as bait? The second threat was more directed to anger him. But why would this kid want to fight him for? He mentioned something about darkness and those strange creatures. What did it all mean? "Keiss, give me your sword for a second." Layle held a hand out for it, while focusing on his opponent. "If you going to use one of mine so much, why don't you get your own?" He sighed, none-the-less the red head handed over the sword on his side. "Thanks. Maybe I will. Eventually." Layle flashed a smile to his partner.

Right as the masked boy was going to take his exit the boy seemed disappointed. So this guy wanted to fight him after all? However, Vanitas does not want to waste his time with a person who has no sword . What then happened next was really surprising to him. A friend of the boys had appeared and gave him a weapon to fight with.
“Fine I’ll let you amuse me.” Vanitas said confidently. After all, Vanitas was made from pure darkness which gave him so many talents. Once more, his Void Gear Keyblade appeared in his left hand and he motioned the crystal bearer to charge in. Hopefully this boy had some decent swordsmanship. This time he was not going to summon his Unversed out. Vanitas figured the boy had enough of his little games.
So a one on one fight would do them both some good. However, Vanitas was still a little disappointed that the other dark beings did not want to come out and spread the darkness. Why does he always have to do everything? Soon the wind gently swayed to the right and then to the left. The boy of darkness continued to wait for his opponent to attack.

“Fine. I’ll let you amuse me.” The boy smirked calling the strange keyblade back to his hand. He motioned for Layle to attack. "Just don't get yourself hurt. I'll need you for this next mission." Keiss complained placing his hands on the back of his head. "Don't worry. I don't plan to." Layle smiled.
He used his gravity ability on himself to speed up his movements as the blonde rushed to strike the shadowy boy. He struck vertically down with a quick attack before spinning around to strike horizontally. It was just a warm up attack. One meant to test the man's skills. Layle didn't carry a weapon, but he was fairly skilled at swordsmanship. He jumped back to avoid a counter and eyed the man for any signs of effect or attacks.

Vanitas only listened as the boy's friend told him to stay alive or not to get injured. However, they have no idea what Vanitas can do. Doubtfully, they have never fought something made of pure darkness. As Layle's first attack came swinging in, Vanitas easily dodged the attack with some quick foot work. The Masked boy moved his entire upper body to the left to dodge the first attack.
Knowing this, Vanitas let the second attack hit him on the side of his right rib cage. Since the attack was successful, his entire body froze up. The frozen body was merely his after image. Only a few seconds later, Vanitas made a quick downwards strike on top of his opponents right shoulder. This swing was power packed, but was not lethal at all.
The masked boy only wants to mess with his opponent not obliterate him to dust. With doing that, he took a few steps back and motioned to the boy to make an attack."Is that all?" He said in a disappointed tone. Vanitas that this boy had more than that, even if it was a warm up attack. Though he did take an interest in the gravity ability still.

Layle smirked as his second attack made contact. Was that all this kid was? Talk? How disappointing. But then the image of the shadow boy quickly faded. Layle was surprised. So he wasn't just talk, but before he could try to find him, a sharp pain hit his right shoulder again. The crystal bearer staggered forward and whirled around. "Is that all?"
He smirked. "And here I started to think you were bluffing." His shoulder had a good cut. "Damn it, Layle! Quit fooling around!" Keiss complained. The blonde just ignored his partner. He activated his ability on himself again, running forward at a quick pace. He moved to slash horizontally but then jumped up in the air over the masked man. Layle landed behind him, making a vertical downward strike on his left shoulder.
