Aqua bit the inside of her cheek, worry and concern eating at her for revealing too much to Ven too soon. He did have the right to know, but it was just too much tragedy for any one person to handle. She had been ready to crumble within the Dark Realm, pressed with the guilt she had failed each and everyone. The Master for not bringing Terra and Ven back. Terra for not supporting him more when he had needed his friends most. Ven for not believing in his strength, and allowing Vanitas to take over his heart. She had wished to fade away in the darkness, but Terra and Ven's keyblades had appeared, defeating the Darksides that had surrounded her. It was then that she remembered her promise, and that she had to keep on going. No matter how lonely she had become, or how worried she was about the mess she had left behind. Here she was now, and with Ven awake and whole. There was much to be done, but all that mattered was making sure her best friend would be alright.
Her eyes widened in alarm as an expression of pain flickered on Ven's face, and his hand reached out to clutch his head. Panic flooded her, remembering the first time she had met Ven. How the questions had sent such a similar reaction toward him, and she just hated herself for being the one to put Ven through all of this. She watched him with evident worry, not wishing to reach out and cause him more pain. Giving him a moment to hopefully take in everything, and he soon looked up at her. Aqua flinched at the inquiry about their Master, and she averted her gaze. What was she supposed to say? What should she do? Her shoulders fell, Master Keeper disappearing from her hold, wishing she could go back and change everything. That none of this had happened, and that the three of them were together watching the stars like they used to. None of this was fair! It made her so very angry, but these were the same thoughts and questions she had lived with for so long in the Realm of Darkness. "I'm so sorry, Ven. I'm sorry," she murmured, tears beginning to burn at her eyes once more.
Aqua raised her gaze to Ven's as he spoke her name. Her heart stopped as he pressed his face into his hands, but her blood ran cold when he spoke of how it was his fault. Just like when they had reunited in the Keyblade Graveyard, and he had asked them to end his existence. Her self pity dissolved in an instant, and she reached out to place both of her hands upon Ven's shoulders firmly and with a determined resolve in her eyes. "No! This is not your fault, and I don't want you blaming yourself," she reassured gently, but there was strength in her tone. "It was Master Xehanort that finished the Master, not Terra. We all made mistakes, but it was that coward that was pulling us along from the beginning." Never had Aqua held so much hatred but for that man, but she calmed herself for Ven. She gathered him against her in an embrace once more, glancing at the white walls surrounding them.
"I was in the Dark Realm for so long. I blamed myself for everything that happened, and not being strong enough to protect you, and for not believing in Terra. I wanted to fade into the darkness, just to end myself," she admitted, not proud of herself for that moment of weakness at all. "The Heartless surrounded me, but your keyblade appeared, and so did Terra's, and you saved me. You were reminding me not to give up, and that we would always be together. I won't let you blame yourself, Ven," Aqua finished, hoping her words would bring him strength. As Terra and Ven had always given her strength when she needed them.
